Testimonials

The whole thing started a lot earlier. I have always wanted to work abroad, but up to now I was bound to Hungary because of my personal obligations and professional engagement so that it remained a dream. Now at the age of fifty I decided to drop these charges in the hope that I could get a job abroad where I do not have to work as much as I had to in Hungary and where I am honoured and appreciated both professionally and financially. Furthermore, my pension will be granted and will enable a secure life for me in a ten years time.

I saw Medicolink’s advertisement on the internet, I clicked on it and I felt immediately that it was something for me, it visualized my ideas. When I got into contact with the person responsible for the recruitment program, I felt that I was given the help, support and orientation I was waiting for. The personal interview later on provided me with emotional security as well because it became clear for me that I would be given settlement assistance by the time I move to Denmark and start work. It played an important role in my decision.

When I visited the hospital I was completely fascinated about the equipment and the atmosphere, but first of all about the people there: their human attitude, their positive way of seeing things and their friendly, well-organized environment felt attractive to me. I had no doubts any more concerning the staff I need to work together with in my future career, and what is even more important, I felt a certain respect they had towards me. They did not consider it strange to start a new life at the age of fifty, but they were interested in me both personally and in our cooperation. That is why I accepted the job offer, signed the preliminary contract and started the language training.

Concerning the training, I feel comfortable with the training program, and the loan compensation we receive during the training gives me security financially as well. Thereby I do not have to worry about how to provide financial security to myself and my son in the meantime.

I truly believe my son will only benefit from this change. He will have the opoortunity to study at an international business school which will probably provide him with an international accepted degree and knowledge.

It was actually my wife who was browsing websites where doctors and specialists were recruited for hospitals abroad. We had previously spent a few years in Japan where I conducted medical research at a university. When we returned to Hungary I realised that the social and economic situation were unpromising. I did not see future perspectives here, and I wanted to provide my wife and my three children with acceptable living circumstances.

We visited several internet links and out of the many possibilities the Scandinavian countries deserved the greatest attention as they are developed countries with high GDP index and good welfare systems. Furthermore, Denmark is specifically famous for its well-functioning social network, health care system and educational background.

We found Medicolink’s advertisement on the internet and I got in touch with the person responsible for recruitment. I sent my CV and other references to the company and after a personal interview – where I got acquainted with the company and the terms and conditions – they invited me to Denmark to see my possible future workplace, meet the staff at the hospital, see the working conditions and have a general impression of nature, culture and life in Denmark.

I believe that I was given quite a realistic picture of the whole idea, I was informed about the difficulties I would encounter because of the changes in my life but I could clearly see that a balanced and more peaceful life was waiting for me there. My children could study in an educational system which does not primarily require lexical knowledge but contributes effectively to the development of their creative skills. In addition, the beautiful nature and the possible outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and water sports in this area of Denmark provide optimal circumstances for big families like mine.
