To work as a medical doctor in Denmark you will need to get an authorization from the Danish Board of Health. We will assist you retrieving the relevant documents.
Generel working conditions
Generally, employees are expected to work 37 hours per week. As a specialist doctor your working hours will vary with your schedule. Some weeks you might be expected to work up to 60 hours, while at other times you might not be assigned any shifts. The shifts vary between day and night shifts.
You have six weeks of paid holiday per year and also a day off from work on your child's first sick day.

What is the collective agreement?
A collective agreement is a contract between employees and management governing wages, benefits and working conditions. The concept is defined as an agreement in which at least one of the parties is a collective body possessing the nature of a legal person. It applies, for example, to agreements concluded between the Danish Medical Association and the public authorities on the fees paid to doctors.
